Insert and Embed Blu-ray footage to PowerPoint 2016/2013/2010 Presentation

When you are making presentations using PowerPoint, you always insert some media to make the PPT more interesting and appealing, right? PowerPoint 2016 doesn’t support Blu-ray importing. That means if you want to import Blu-ray to PowerPoint for presentation, you will be failed. Extract some video clips from Blu-ray for adding to PowerPoint 2016

Step 1: Load Blu-ray and DVD

Insert your Blu-ray/DVD disc into your BD drive, run the Blu-ray ripping software and click “BD/DVD disc” icon to load your movies. As you can see, you can preview the loaded Blu-ray/DVD files in the right preview window and select Blu-ray/DVD audio track/subtitle.

Step 2. Choose an output format

Click Format (located below where your source files are displayed) and choose WMV or AVI as the output format on the Format > Common Video list.

Tips: If you want to get rid of some part of the video, you can click the Edit button. When enter the edit > Trim interface, you should either drag the slider bar back and forth or set the start time and the end time for the video to get the part you want.

Step 3. Begin Blu-ray to PowerPoint format conversion

Click “Convert” to start the conversion. The conversion process is displayed in the progress bar. The complete process could take a while depending on the number of files that you are converting and the speed of your computer and Blu-ray drive.

Once finished, you’ll have the new AVI (wmv or mp4) file on your hard drive that are ready to be embedded into Microsoft PowerPoint document.

Additional Tips:

In PowerPoint 2010 and later, you can link or embed a video from your PC directly into your presentation.

Embedded videos are convenient, but increase the size of your presentation.

Linked videos keep your presentation’s size smaller, but links can break. To prevent possible problems with broken links, it’s a good idea to copy the videos into the same folder as your presentation, and link to them there.
