If you’re wondering how to get your Mplayer to play encrypted Blu-ray discs, simply follow this guide to get the solutions.
Mplayer plays most MPEG/VOB, AVI, Ogg/OGM, VIVO, ASF/WMA/WMV, QT/MOV/MP4, RealMedia, Matroska, NUT, NuppelVideo, FLI, YUV4MPEG, FILM, RoQ, PVA files, supported by many native, XAnim, and Win32 DLL codecs. You can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5, WMV and even H.264 movies.
While, no-one seems to know much how to import and play Blu-ray discs using Mplayer (even you’ve gotten rid of the copy protection and can actually make a backup!). So here’s how we have done it.
– First you will need an external Blu-ray drive for your Mac to read the Blu-ray disc.
– Then you will need software to crack the encryption and convert the Blu-ray data to MPlayer compatible file formats. The software we recommend is Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac. The main reason we choose it is because it is capable of removing copy-protections and doing format conversion at the same time. Best of all, it adopts advanced video and audio in sync technology, which will never let users encounter audio and video out of sync issues. It is not only a Blu-ray Ripper, but also work well with DVDs, just like the Blu-ray Player can work with DVD disc well.
